Updates on Cari

Hi All,
   This is Cari's oldest daughter Becky writing an update for her. We will try and keep this blog updated every so often so that you can check here for more information. Mom loves to hear from everyone, but it can sometimes be exhausting trying to make dozens of phone calls and trying to keep everyone up to date personally.  My mother feels so loved with all of the love and concern and offers of service from everyone.
  *Mom was diagnosed a few weeks ago with stage 4 cancer (meaning it is in more than one place in her body), but seems to be most notably in her lungs. She has had one appt with an oncologist and will have a second appt sometime this week or next. They had to order some more tests and whatnot to try and determine where the cancer originated. This will determine the type of treatment they offer- if any.  So right now we are playing the waiting game with the wonderful medical world. She does get tired quite easily so she tries to stay home as much as possible- this also helps to keep her cough a little more under control.
  Her ward and family seem to have her needs under control for the time being. Mom has had many offers of service and we are so grateful. Sometimes we just aren't sure what to tell people when they ask how they can help. But prayers are always appreciated :)
