Not a whole lot to update today. Dad's hernia surgery is scheduled for Mon February 17th. Having two invalids in February was not the original plan, but sometimes life happens ;)
We are still waiting to hear from the urologist regarding the date and time for moms surgery- and also waiting to hear from the oncologist. Mom continues to be in a lot of pain because of her back, so we are trying to keep her down and resting.  This helps with the pain as well as the coughing. They appreciate all the dinners that are being brought in.
I've decided that dealing with cancer is a lot like having a full- time job. Between all the appts and phone calls and surgeries and running around. It's too bad it's not a job that can be quit :)
All of the phone calls, and texts, and gifts and notes dropped off do not go unnoticed. Mom feels so loved and that's the best part.

  1. Becky, I'm grateful for this blog. When I went by last week I could tell that visits may not be the best thing right now. I saw how busy this is keeping you, Sally, and Stacy. You're doing a great job!!! We love you all, and we're praying for you every day! Your dedication to your wonderfully amazing mom, grandparents, and now your dad is heaven sent. Angels will help you lift this load!!! I believe that with all my heart!! Linda Ash
