2-25-14 Nothing too exciting....

   Well, nothing too exciting is going on, but I thought I'd better put in another update before I start getting phone calls ;)
   Mom has been in a lot less pain since her surgery- which is really good!  The pain was pretty disabling so it's a relief to not have to deal with so much of it anymore.  Mom has been able to do a few more things around the house lately and even drove over to visit with her mom who she hasn't seen in a while because they are both dealing with health issues.  She still doesn't have a whole lot of energy and "feeling good" can fluctuate on a day-to-day or hourly basis.  The pain meds continue to help her body adjust to the different symptoms associated with this cancer.  We know her health and side effects will continue to fluctuate as things progress- so we're just taking things as they come.
   Still waiting for the next appt with the Oncologist.  We will discuss treatment options and hopefully have a few more questions answered after they have more test results back.
   Dad seems to be doing well.  He is adjusting to the new flower curtains that we hung in their bedroom downstairs.  The matching bedspread will be forthcoming- that may just put him over the edge...  but we have plenty of pain medication so he should be okay ;)
