Todays appt with Dr. Roa was mostly useless...   In a round about way he explained to us the lack of communication between the pathologists and himself  - ultimately ending in the fact that the tests that he had ordered (twice) had not been performed.  Frustrating to say the least :/   On one hand you want to strangle the doctor for taking so long on what would seem like and important issue.  On the other hand you feel bad for him having to deal with this on a daily basis.  Mostly it is not his fault and it would not be right to take our anger out on him.   So...  he should be calling mom sometime next week with results from a few of the tests, and the more complicated results will not be back for at least another 2 weeks.
In the meantime we will communicate with Dr. Obenchain on how to proceed.  Morphine is keeping mom's back pain mostly under control.  Last weekend we were able to move "the office" also known as "dad's collection of boxes" into another room - and then moved mom and dad's bedroom downstairs.  This has been a good move so far.  Mom doesn't have to go up stairs all the time which is exhausting.
Amid all the frustration we are mostly at peace with what is taking place.  We believe everything is in The Lords hands and understand that He has a plan.
Please pray that both surgeries will go well next week, and that pain will be kept to a minimum.
Mom just loved all the Valentine cards from the RS - and all the other goodies she has received.  They really do help to brighten long days :)
