So my mom got to go on an exciting field trip with Stacy this week (thanks to some awesome friends who were able to get them tickets). Anyone recognize who this is?
This week our whole family was able to go and visit "Grma Ade" for her 94th birthday. Grma Ade was the neighborhood grandma when all 6 of us kids were little. It was fun to see her again - I don't think she has changed a bit :)
And then we tried (and failed) to take a picture of all six of us children. Out of the 200 pics that were taken I don't think there is a single one of us all looking at the camera at the same time. We need help. But family pictures are just around the corner - so hopefully the next session will go better...

After visiting Grma Ade we all went to visit Grma and Grnpa Reheis (Mom's Mom and Dad). Grandma Reheis recently took another spill and consequently ended up with a thigh high cast. We decided we had better break it in and all took turns signing it. Brian tried to convince her to just cast the rest of her body to avoid further injury :)
This past week has had it's ups and downs. Mom was feeling pretty good (we have to constantly remind her that this is in fact due to the heavy painkillers she takes on a daily basis).... but these past few days she has run a high fever. She just tries to do as much as she can and overdoes it as usual. I think this was a reminder that her body is fighting and adjusting to all sorts of things and she needs to slow it down. We may have to tie her up just to keep her still- but I think after the past couple days she might slow things down a little.... maybe... until the fever wears off... and then we will probably have to remind her all over again that her body needs to rest more :/ Regardless of how she is feeling she will tell you she is "fine". "Im Fine." "Im feeling better." She's always "fine". Whether she really is, or isn't, she's "fine". Right mom? ;)
